Admission is made on the basis of entrance examination conducted by Gauhati University. This entrance examination is usually held during the month of June/July every year. The advertisement for the same is published in leading newspapers in Assam. The advertisement and the details of examination are also made available in the Gauhati University website at the same time. After the declaration of result of entrance students are admitted to the course strictly on the basis of merit. The fixture for admission fixed by the University for conducting admission is followed, besides complying rules and regulations of NCTE in this regards.

Eligibility

• (a) Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s Degree is Sciences/Social Sciences/ Humanity, Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent there to, are eligible for admission to the programme.


• (b) The reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government/ State Government, whichever is applicable.
